In an interview with Reuters, Citadel Capital Chairman and Founder Ahmed Heikal is quoted as saying, “We’re looking … we’re exploring investment opportunities in Iraq for oil and gas.” Heikal says the firm sees opportunities to invest in Iraq’s oil and gas sector and in the mining, agriculture and retail sectors in select areas of Africa.
